The maximum intensity of heat is in upper, central Punjab, Potohar region, and P where the temperature is recorded as 3 to 4 degrees above normal. Nurpur Thal 47, Bhakkar 46.5, Joharabad 46 while Gujranwala recorded 45.4 degrees.

The sweltering heat could be about to subside in Lahore Faisalabad and the rest of central and upper Punjab! On the evening or night of June 18th, precipitation in the form of thunderstorms and rain is expected, which will provide welcome relief. Nevertheless, temperatures in South Punjab will probably stay over 40°C for the next two days, and there will be little rain.
