Lahore: In a significant move to boost higher education in Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given the green light to the much-awaited laptop scheme for students. This initiative aims to provide students with the latest technology to aid their studies and research.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting focused on reforming the higher education sector. The meeting also discussed other initiatives, such as transport facilities for female students and establishing new universities and colleges in underserved areas.
This marks the resumption of the laptop scheme after a seven-year hiatus. The previous government had discontinued the program, which was widely praised for its positive impact on students.
The CM expressed her commitment to empowering the youth through education and hoped that the laptop scheme would contribute significantly to their academic and professional success.
