Shaikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler, announced the end of her marriage on Instagram, according to BBC reports.

In order to make public her decision to divorce her spouse, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, Shaikha Mahra turned to several social media platforms to make the announcement. Using the Islamic practice of triple talaq, she declared in her post, “I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you,” accusing him of being “occupied with other companions.”

She also used the phrase “I divorce you.” Women, on the other hand, are not permitted to engage in this practice according to Islamic law. Rather than that, women are forced to seek an annulment through a process known as khula, which is a formal judicial procedure that is required for a woman to pursue a divorce. This inconsistency in the law has made the situation that is currently developing more complicated.

In April of 2023, the couple celebrated the beginning of their relationship with a lavish wedding, and they just recently became parents for the first time. The couple’s marriage, on the other hand, appears to have come to an end just two months after the birth of their child.

The impactful Instagram post that Shaikha Mahra made, which began with the words “dear husband” and concluded with the words “Take care. Your ex-wife,” has generated a lot of discussion on various social media platforms.
